Bland County Remembers Pearl Harbor

My name is Jordon Looney. My fellow classmates and I have created these movies over the past few months. The movies are about the horrendous acts that happened on December 7, 1941 on a small Hawaiian island and the naval base at Pearl Harbor. December 7, 1941 was truly a day that will live in infamy as stated by President Roosevelt. Many people still remember where they were and what they were doing when they first heard that the Japanese had bombed Pearl Harbor. The people of Bland County also remember Pearl Harbor.

Our project was to search the Archives for references ot Pearl Harbor. We did that and then found the relevant audio from the interview. Many students were involved in searching, digitizing, and editing the text and audio. My job was to use it the creation of a video about Pearl Harbor and how it affected Bland County and its citizens. A movie was also made describing the project. Just click the text or photo to the left and watch the movie. It may take a bit to load, but we hope it is worth your wait.
