Myrtle: Yes, we was going across the mountain.  I never will forget that.  They called it out and me and Eden was going over to see some of them over there.  Oh, we was taking Granddaddy Ratliff over there to be with his children some, and we couldn’t believe it.

Amanda: How did people feel about it?

Myrtle: Well, nobody talked to nobody about it.   I don’t guess much, cause as I say nobody ever got together and ever said anything, and cause people out through here.   It was like it is now.  Cause there was very few people out through here.
