FS: We hadn’t never heard anything about war, and it was very frightening, but we would have a group that didn’t even had a radio, we would have a group in our house that had a battery radio, sitting around the radio listening to the, they called it the War News, and they was right there even they had to walk from anywhere from 2 to 5 miles to hear the war news, because they knew that some of the boys would have to be leaving.
