Rocky Gap, Virginia

The old bank building stands as a reminder of better times. The Bank of Rocky Gap was built a few years before the Great Depression hit bottom. It became a bakery at one time. Later it was an antique store. Now it is on its last leg and serves as a logging yard.

Carroll Brothers, the general store, has been closed for many years. It cannot be replaced by conveniece stores. The community awaits a Rocky Gap Rennaissance, a rebirth. Meanwhile we tell the tales of past years.
