| On April 12th, Rocky Gap's Local History classes hosted an AREN (Appalachian Regional Education Network) conference. Students from Bland and Mount Rogers High School came to participate in workshops concerning interviewing techniques and technology, and a string band from Mount Rogers performed. Representatives from other schools came as well to share information about their local history projects and to learn from ours. After these sessions, everyone was happy to enjoy a meal provided by a local restaurant. A tour of the Indian Village in Bastain, Virginia, followed.
